If money talks I wanna buy you

Today was my official last day of high school. (Unless you count May 24th when I have to come back and take the AP Government exam that was postponed due to the flooding here in Northeast Kansas…) It was melancholy, to say the least, I’ve spent 13 years with some of these people and it’s just sad to think that I might not see some of them, if ever, again. (To those in-the-know, I’ve posted Facebook photos of all the photos I’ve been taking recently.)

I’ve been doing a lot recently, as far as social things go. My graduation party is tomorrow (and again, for those in the know, come on over! :) There will be food, fun, and uh… lots of OMGZ pictures.)

I went over to David’s house after school today to play with his birds. I completely enjoyed that - will have to post pictures here, but that’s more or less an empty promise right now as I never get around to such things. Anyways, his birds are wonderful. I just wish they liked me more. Apparently I’m a very, very scary person to them. I don’t care, I’ll try to pet them anyways ;) One of them flew right onto my shoulder, it made me so happy. It was the funniest feeling having a bird hopping around on your shoulder.

I ended up calling up Wrylie and Jake and then Candace and I went and picked them up, and then went to Best Buy and Sonic. (That was a really badly worded sentence but I’m far too lazy at the moment to fix it.) Anyways, it was a good time. I purchased a Sansa e250R MP3 player with the graduation money I’ve got so far. I’m really enjoying it. I just need to finish uploading all the stuff to it. It’s just so sleek and shiny, I enjoy just playing with it ;) Anyways, I got lots of pictures of all of us messing around at Best Buy and Sonic, including one of me riding the electric pony thing. I got a picture of Jake riding it, too. Yay! Photos! :D

I really don’t know what to say anymore. I graduate this Sunday… my party is tomorrow… and there will be lots of parties between now and Sunday besides mine that I’m going to. Fun stuff. Exciting, yet sad stuff. It just makes me upset to think of all these people that I’ve been spending so much time around and that I probably won’t be seeing them. At least a lot of us are going to Kansas State University next year so that will make the transition a little better. I know I’ll be back to see Jake and Wrylie frequently.

I don’t know, it’s just sad, but these things have to happen, I guess.

On a sidenote, I’ve already preordered my copy of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows (Book 7) from Barnes and Noble. I’m going to the midnight book release [insert geeky smile here]. I’ve also heard a snippet of the Smashing Pumpkins’ new single, Tarantula and I’m liking what I’m hearing. Very nice.

I’ll see you kids around.

Of Getting Ready to Graduate

…I graduate on May 20. Time has flown by. I could get all philosophical about everything, but I think I’ll let it suffice to say that I’ll miss everyone and I really hope we can all keep in touch (after all, that’s what Facebook.com is for, right? ;))

The flooding has subsided, for the most part, here in Kansas so I’m starting to move back into my room. Although at the moment, all I have in my room is my bed and my laptop (not even the carpet.)

Friday night I went out with David to Best Buy and Barnes & Noble. I picked up Bush’s Sixteen Stone and The Postal Service’s Give Up, which I’m only now listening to. I knew Bush would be good, even though it was put out in 2004 and I’ve heard most of the songs before, but I don’t care. I had some money so I finally went out and got one of their albums. I haven’t even opened the Postal Service’s CD… so we’ll see how that goes. (I really need to go out and pick up the Smashing Pumpkins’ albums that I’m missing. By the way, I heard that the Smashing Pumpkins will be releasing their first single on the air on my favorite radio station, 96.5 The Buzz Monday. I’m excited. Beyond excited. I can’t wait. My beloved Pumpkins are back, baby…!)

At Barnes & Noble I got a “Grow your own Venus Flytrap” kit. And a graduation present for Wry. Then David and I went to Spangle’s for some ’50s style root beer floats. He got a bit perturbed with me when I made myself a ice cream mustache and made fun of him and his whiskers, but oh well. Like he and the other kids haven’t given me any crap for being the only girl in my C++ and JAVA programming classes… :P I had lots of fun.

Today I went to the Cruise Night on Kansas Avenue with David - lots of nice old cars (the rule is only cars from ‘77 and earlier.) I’m a bit of a sucker for muscle cars with racing stripes… just a tiny bit ;) Ha, that’s a bit of an understatement. My favorite is the ‘67 Chevelle. Ooh, la la. Me gusta mucho el coche de Chevelle de 1967. :) That’s horrible Spanish but oh well. It was great, lovely weather, kickass cars… David

I got to see David’s cockatiel’s after the cruise night. Oh, they’re so cute. I love them. They just don’t like me, they hiss at me and fly away every time I try to come and pet them :( The only time they’ll let me near them is if I have food to give them  Anyways, hopefully I will grow on them because I sure do like them!

I’m getting tired but hopefully I’ll be blogging again soon :) Finals next week!

At0mica.net > Version 10.0

:woohoo: I’ve made a new layout for At0mica.net after a very long layout/creativity block. I’m still in the process of working out all the bugs, getting it validated, ect., but I’m getting there. Of course, all comments/suggestions will be accepted. I  this layout. I’ll probably get tired of it really quick though :faint:

Anyway, I’ve had a pretty good day today I guess. I got out of half of 1st hour and all but 5 minutes of seminar to watch Dodgeball in the auditorium as a reward for my grades. It was an okay movie.. not like the best or anything.. but it was funny. And kinda gross, at some parts.

I’m going to host a ‘DDR Tournament’ at my house, consisting of only 3 participants at this point: Myself, David, and Wrylie. It’s gonna be awesome. Not sure what day or anything yet, but we’re getting there.

My layout is having problems so.. yeah not that I had a whole lot to talk about anyway..
